Wednesday, December 24th, 7PM. The Christmas Eve Service, planned and scripted by Lisa Hutcheson and performed by many faithful Presbyterians was very beautiful and meaningful. We thank all those involved in the Christmas Eve Worship Service.
Advent Sundays and Christmas Eve. Advent Candles were lit each Advent Sunday and on Christmas Eve. Candle of Hope was lit by the Hutchesons, Peace by Amy Morrison and Debbie Goodnight, Candle of Joy by the Lees, Love by the Crouses. The Christ Candle was lit on Christmas Eve by the Pipers.
Advent Sundays. During the Advent Sundays, we had Children's Story each week delivered by Janet McConnell and Amy Morrison.Â
Friday, December 5th and Sunday, December 7th. The annual Christmas Program by PPM was very successful, filling all the spaces, making happy the parents and grandparents.
Advent Sundays and Christmas Eve. This year, we did something new. During the Advent Sundays and Christmas Eve, we let our children to light the Communion Table Candle. Samuel and Luna lit it taking turns each Sunday. We love to see our children being involved in our worship service.
Sunday, November 23rd. On the Sunday before Thanksgiving Day, we celebrated it and gave thanks to God with our Harvest Dinner after the worship service. We had Matt Wilson from the Boone County Mentoring Partnership as our Mission Guest Speaker, the Called Congregational Meeting. Our kids got the Advent Calendars.
Tuesday, November 11th at Pizza Hut. Pastor Je invited the veterans in our congregation to honour them with Pizza Hut lunch. Some other gentleman at a nearby table paid for us in honour of our veterans. We thank you veterans for your service!
Thursday, November 6th, 5:30PM at Zionsville Fellowship Church. Our congregation members (especially Mission & Outreach Committee) attended the Love INC Annual Fundraiser Banquet.
Wednesday, October 29th. PPM had a Costume Day and lots of fun.
Friday, October 17th. September Gourmet Seekers met at the new restaurant in town, Gold Coffee Pancake House, near the Walmart.
Sunday, September 28th, 2PM. To celebrate the 45 years of our Pipe Organ, we had a concert. Lisa Hutcheson organised everything. After she gave us the lecture on the history of the Pipe Organ in general as well as of our specific organ, we enjoyed beautiful organ music pieces, performed by Bud Hunter, Kathleen Custer, Meghan Farris. A reception followed in the fellowship hall.
Friday, September 26th. September Gourmet Seekers' venue was the Tres Agaves, a new Mexican restaurant in town. It is next to the Jimmy John's.
Saturday, August 30th. Dick & Janet Self, lovely and still cute couple, celebrated their yet another anniversary. It was a surprise party from Janet's daughter. Many people far and near came and celebrated together. Fun fact is that they are high school sweet-hearts.
Sunday, August 24th. On this mission Sunday, we had Watson George as our guest speaker, who was adopted from Haiti. He gave us his testimony and then performed some lovely music with his singing group.
Sunday, August 10th. It was first Ice Cream Social in years. Lovely Presbyterians enjoyed the yummy ice cream which cooled us down a lot on this hot day. Thanks to Nancy Kincaid who prepared everything from ice cream to sanfwiches. Barbara Belt had an idea that we have the fellowship not in the fellowship hall but in the narthex, which worked perfect!
Friday, June 27th. On this extremely hot day, the Gourmet Seekers met at the Switch Bar by the South Street. It used to be "That Sports Bar."
Sunday, June 8th. It was a very big day. As a mission Sunday, we had our guest speakers, Tom Fagan and Susan Bennett, from Indiana United Methodist Children's Home. After the service, we had our Annual Meeting. And then we finally had the Quarterly Luncheon.
Friday, May 30th. The May Gourmet Seekers met at 'What the Pho.' It is a Vietnamese restaurant, and you can enjoy the authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
Sunday, April 27th. PPM (Presbyterian Preschool Ministry) children and their families gathered together to see how wonderfully those children are growing during our worship. All the supportive Presbyterians were very pleased to see how our ministry is impacting the future of our community. The highlight of this worship was not pastor Je's preaching but Margi McConnaha's story time!
Saturday, April 26th. Good, faithful, and mission-oriented Presbyterians gathered together and made many baby packs for the expecting mothers in Malawi. Many mothers and babies die during and after the labour and delivery due to lack of sanitary items even in the hospitals. These baby packs will ensure those mothers and babies to survive.
Friday, April 25th. The April Gourmet Seekers met at the Americana Grill on Lafayette avenue. Recommended if you want American style dining.
Easter Sunday, April 20th. Hallelujah! Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed! On Easter Sunday, we celebrated t he resurrection of our Lord from the morning Son-Rise service, breakfast fellowship, Easter Sunday morning worship service, and finally the Easter Egg Hunts.
Maundy Thursday, April 17th. We gathered together to celebrate the Last Supper of our Lord, reminding ourselves of the meanings of the meal. We switched some of the meal contents from traditional Jewish to modern American, baked potatoes.
Friday, March 28th. The March Gourmet Seekers' venue was the Cracker Barrel in Whitestown. We noticed the interior was changed.
Sunday, March 16th. Nancy Turner was ordained as a ruling elder, and installed into the service at the session. She is the chair of the Mission & Outreach Committee.
Friday, February 28th. The February Gourmet Seekers' venue was the Vintage Cafe in Frankfort. Many people enjoyed the wonderful food and the good atmosphere.
Sunday, January 12th. Roman and Eden Nunley, the infant twin babies were baptised in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The congregation vowed to pray for and nurture them in the love of Christ.
Sunday, January 5th. On the Epiphany Sunday or the Star Sunday, the stars were distributed to the members with a guiding words on the back. Each members can be guided with that guiding words for this year of 2025 with prayers and dedication.
